Rails In The Rockies 2016
A special thank you to Laura the event coordinator for the Rails In The Rockies and the Estes Valley Model Railroad Club! We had a wonderful time and look forward to 2017 for the next show.
For those who were able to make the event were treated to some great operations and enjoyment.
A great crew including Rick Trinkle with operations, John Johnson our event conductor, Bob Hiller event brakeman, Bob Klelland event engineer, and Erik Lindgren, layout and maintenance.
Rick and Daecian take a nap after a long morning of running trains.
Simply put the most fabulous backdrop and venue of any train show on Earth is Estes Park’s Rocky Mountain Park Inn.
The staff at the Rocky Mountain Park Inn are simply marvelous and were so wonderful to us. We thank you Lorenzo and the rest of the staff at the Inn.
Branch line steam and local operations were the theme for the weekend.
The Longmont Terminal & Northern exhibited beautifully in our Blue Spruce banquet room. The skylights and natural daylight were an absolute feast for the eyes.
Love those Aspen trees!
To everyone that helped make the Rails In The Rockies show a success we thank you. A very special Thank You to Myron Cunningham, Benjamin Fearn and the staff of the Colorado & Southern Railway Society we especially thank you for the wonderful help Sunday night with the load up of the Longmont Terminal & Northern Model Railroad.
