This Saturday the 1st of November the COSM set up the Branch-Line for testing and additional work on scenery, electrical and track. Fun-times and friends is what its all about! Have fun and trains!
John is busy arranging the adjoining modules; this week scenery will be a top priority, along with turnouts. The “Branch-Line” is the creation of club founder John Johnson and serves well as an easy lightweight layout to set-up and display at any popular venue. O scale has so many limitations due to its relative large size as compared to smaller scales such as N, HO, and Z; the Branch-Line serves well as the ideal layout for small limited space venues. This layout uses 54″ super elevated curves with two passing sidings. It is wired for both DCC and DC operation.

Rick explains the details in the D&RGW EMD SD-45’s while sharing his fabulous rare Oriental Limited 1/48 scale SD45 recently acquired from its original owner. A true prize for any D&RGW modern or transition era aficionado. After all it is about the trains! The COSM really has a great time!
Panera Bread is an ideal place to hold a light discussion over coffee and a pastry.
Some light rail-fanning is in order too! A quick trip up to Rainbow Cut is must!
The view from Plainview Colorado is breathtaking!
Rick’s favorite in 1:1! Looking toward the turnout at Plain with Table Mountain in the distance. A Colorado must is Moffat Line action on the former (nah it still is!)-Action Road!
Number 5 fashionably late late late due to a mishap with the private varnish bringing up the markers in Nebraska is always a wonder-sight to behold cutting through the Flat Irons and tunnels 2-3-4.
The COSM will be at the TCA’s Rocky Mountain Toy Train Show the weekend of the 29th and 30th of November.
