John and Erik tested the river section yesterday while on exhibit at the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo in Denver, Colorado. The LT&N ran flawless all weekend for the show spectators. While winding down on Sunday the decision was made to fit in the river section and run a consist over the bridge and into the adjacent sections. Less than 10 minutes of rearranging and a C48, 8 cars and a Caboose rolled through the 78” radius bend and over the St. Vrain River!

Still under development weathering and detailing will continue throughout the Winter on the section.  Officially the plan will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Boulder Model Railroad Club Train Expo in December our homecoming venue of the year.

The last 16 months have been filled with long hours and some frustration and success; the results of the hard work is a corner stone piece to the Longmont Terminal & Northern Branch Line Model Railroad.
